  • Petz Cafe Barkery

Petz Cafe was born in 2014, at the time my sister and I decided to try our hand at selling horse & dog treats at local markets. My boxers Dexter & Minnie were always happy taste testers. It was important to me to have all natural whole food local ingredients in my dog treats. We loved doing it but were both working full time and decided to concentrate of work and our families. In 2017 I had a long struggle watching my very best friend Dexter die of prostate cancer, to some they say just a dog, to me he was my family and my very best friend, 7 months later I lost Minnie to lymphoma. My grieving process was long and hard. In 2018 just before Christmas Jaxon was born and came into my life, he brought me newfound joy & purpose. I decided right then and there that I was going to do everything in my power to keep him healthy as long as possible, no kibble for this boy and no bagged store treats full of preservatives and who knows what! Jaxon and I made many friends at the dog park, everyone wanted to know what those yummy treats were that I was feeding & rewarding him with, so Petz Cafe Barkery was reborn! Jaxon and I decided he needed a little sister, and on October 8th 2019 Jolene joined the family, they are my raison d'etre and my test kitchen staff! It is a labor of love, hard work but so worth it when I get kisses and pictures of my furry clients enjoying our products! We are not a shelf stable product you pick up on a pet store shelf, we are a freshly baked to order barkery that puts love into every order. We think your best friend deserves the very best products with none of the yucky stuff, we don't have our beloved pets for as long as we like, they give us unconditional love, treat them with the very best they deserve it Owner and head barker- Shoshana Hitterman
